Tryp by Wyndham Istanbul Topkapi

My room was in the first floor. They did not mentioned anything about it. The map and location that the hotel have in the website is fake. As a tourist, I just took a look at the map and chose the my hotel but the location was not same as the map.

A very clean and modern hotel located in the European side of the city. Supermarket across the street, and it’s easily accessible by car with convenient parking right in front. The hotel is stylish and exceptionally well-maintained. Rooms are spacious, very clean, featuring an excellent bathroom and coffe/tea heater. Breakfast is very good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Positive aspects:-we received a free room upgrade (it was more spacious);-the beds were very comfortable;-late night check-in;-the hotel design is carefully chosen.

Improvements:-the hotel didn't seem to be at its full potential, however I think they could have respected our request to have a room more isolated from the neighbors (although we received a larger room);-I didn't appreciate the attitude of the cleaning lady, who was insistent, knocked on the door if we were ready to leave and asked us again when we left the room (we checked in late and it took us longer to pack our bags, and even so we checked out at 12:00);-breakfast was poorly managed, everything consumed was no longer supplemented and I don't empathize with the idea of a lack of coffee at an internationally renowned hotel (to be clear, it was filtered coffee, but it doesn't compare to espresso coffee).

From the very beginning, an employee told me that I had paid Booking.com and that the hotel hadn’t received any money, so they wouldn’t accommodate me. But then he suddenly had a “solution”: he knew a friend with a hotel of the same standards, and I would get a refund from Booking.com. Because I didn’t fall for this trap, someone else at the reception eventually told me everything was fine and handed me the room key.The hotel itself is decent, except for the meals: overcrowded, poor quality, and with a hospital-like atmosphere. It feels like most guests are there for medical treatments—mainly hair implants (the most off-putting ones) and dental procedures. That’s literally all you hear about at the tables. Everything feels cramped and profit-driven, like they’re just squeezing money from vulnerable clients.I will never stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Breakfast was good. The rooms were tidied often but not everyday.

Location was not great. Quite far from the tourist areas. Staff were okay, had attitude when asked a question. Claim they have a taxi service but no taxi ever came. Area around was v v v limited

It's my 3rd trip to istanbul I like the staff. Very quiet neighborhood and I I enjoyed during my stay.

Professional and helpful staff, in particular Enes, Sefa and the Circassian guy.Clean rooms and good furniture.

I recommend this hotel, but for tourists it is worth noting that it is not that close to the centre.

Hotel situated in area near densely populated district with small different businesses like selling or processing metal items, other polymer tubes and many other stuff..Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean room, nice restaurants with Turkish cuisine are close to the hotel.

Construction sight near, but not so serious, nearest metro station is 15 minutes walk, but tram station is closer.

Love the staff!!! They were very helpful, informative and friendly! The location is near the tram line straight to Topkapi, sultan Ahmet mosque and aya sofya We started our month trip there and ended it there GREAT PLACE!

Particularly noteworthy here is the staff.The entire workforce is customer-oriented and friendly.I noticed this very positively after staying for five days.From the service staff to the manager, everyone is concerned about the well-being of the guests.

It was a disappointing experience at the Tryp by Windham hotel in Istanbul due to to the overcharge. I’ve booked with the expectation of a smooth and honest stay due to the hotel being part of an international network. I’ve booked a two nights stay for my sister and her daughter on her transit route to Ukraine. I’ve paid for her stay with my bank card the full amount. But surprisingly on her arrival she was asked to pay for one night and she was told that the hotel got the payment from “booking.com” for one night only, however I was charged for fully for two nights with taxes and I’ve never got any amount reimbursed from booking.com . It is very frustrating to encounter such a dishonest behavior from Turkish people.Miscommunications with payments can occur, but it is the responsibility of the hotel staff to re ctify the situation promptly and ensure that guests are not overcharged. It's disappointing that not only did they ask my sister to pay additionally for a night, but also that I wasn’t refunded for the overpayment. Since the stay of my sister at that hotel I’m constantly receiving messages from booking.com and from the property to rate them, and all this time I was just waiting for the money to come back to my account, so I would not have to rate this property bad, but which never happened.

I left the room 5 minutes after I entered there, and I requested a refund, the receptionist spoke to the manager and told me that she will get back to you, but no one called or my money was refunded.

The staff were friendly. The view of the city and sea was nice.The breakfast variety was good.

The breakfast staff were passive. A lot of times, many items in the buffet were finished and no one would care to refill them. Breakfast had a few other issues too.The gym and spa were out of service.

Furniture was old and not safe with many sharp corners of chairs and causes a hurt of my kid feet with bleeding also the photos are not reflecting the realityThe towels and the bed sheets was worn out

The hotel is located far from the city center. We used the tram T1 (28 stations) to get to the center. The gym was not working. The staff speaks basic ENG though they are really nice.

The breakfast could be improved. The toaster was not working properly. I tried to inform the lady from the breakfast but she was smiling and could not repair it. She said it is working but it was not. The platter of fruits was changed every day. The pastries were same all the day. We stayed 1 week.

The staff are super friendly which is extremely valuable ( I have stayed at 5 other hotels in Istanbul all part of international chains and friendly is not a common trait).The room is big and well designed The location is great with Merkezefendi tram station 4 mins aways

Nothing really. Maybe fill the soap dispenser more often xd

This is by far one of the best hotel we stayed at. The staff,location, cleanness were all exceeded our expectations. Thanks to manager hussein for your kindness and professionalism.

I forgot my backpack in the hotel while i have been in different city for probably 3 days . They kept in safe and secure condition. Appreciate it and thanks for mr tayfon because when I ever need a help he’s always happy to assist.
